Warren Arthur Wick, AIA has over 20 years of experience with both commercial and residential buildings and projects. Originally from the prairies of South Dakota, Warren grew up in Colorado and received a Fine Art degree from Colorado State University and received his Master of Architecture while attending the University of Colorado at Denver. As a student, he was awarded two traveling fellowships from the AIA that allowed him to experience architecture in a variety of settings and cultures. His many foreign travels continue to influence his approach to architecture. While practicing in Colorado, Warren was an instructor of architectural design, drawing, and history at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Warren relocated to Washington, DC in 1996 and has honed his design skills on a variety of project types, both in the US and internationally. His breadth of experience includes master planning studies, educational facilities, embassies, museums, multi-family housing, residential, healthcare, and historic renovation. Many of his projects have won design awards and have been featured in numerous publications.
Prior to forming Runningdog Architects, Warren was a senior project manager at Gensler, a Vice President with VOA Associates, and a project architect with SmithGroup and Bowie Gridley Architects. While in Colorado, Warren was a designer with Anderson
Mason Dale Architects and Urban Design Group, Inc.
In his spare time, Warren enjoys spending time with his family, traveling the world and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay.
